i blame the doctors who tell you in the same sentence:
you'll feel better in a week, i'll give you a day
MC...
and also those who give you a day's medical leave for influenza
and then say on TV: you need to rest for at least
a week when you are strickened with Influenza
people then take the virus or infection to work with them and
spread it to the rest of the unsuspecting workplace, causing the
virus or bacteria to become more immune to medication because the
microbes have already been hit with the antibiotics or
antivirals from the original patient
p.s. i dunno how people get extended medical leave.. i never got
more than 2 days for illness except for things like chickenpox or
wisdom tooth extraction..
